We're Sally and Kendra and we like to bake. Pinwheels and Pinnies is a blog we started to chronicle our adventures in baking. We've been baking together for a little over a year when our teams at work collided amalgamated. Since then we've had plenty of encouragement from our colleagues and friends (not that they benefited from our baking marathons at all. Heh.)

Hi, I'm Sally

I'm a twenty-something English rose. I've been baking since I was a little girl, mainly making sponge cakes for my big brothers to have for Sunday tea.  I love photography, reading and Christian Slater movies.  I've tried knitting in the past but never got to the standard of my mum, the best I could do was the knitting dolls!  My aim for the next year is to learn to Crochet (I take this as a sign of old age).  I love baking but have been banned at home as my husband is afraid that I'll make him fat.

Hello, I’m Kendra!

I’m a twenty-something (although the later part of the twenty-something now) Canadian who moved to England in search of a change in 2006. Since doing so I found my partner of 4 years and some new very good friends! I’ve been baking since I was a girl, a skill I picked up from my mum, my dad and my grandmother. I love spending my time in the kitchen, and when I’m not busy baking or cooking I’m either sewing, knitting or painting. Since high-school my best friend has teased me about being a Martha (which I take to mean someone who loves crafting...).

I hope that you enjoy and get some inspiration from our adventures in the kitchen. Thanks for reading!
